Default Haloween in Oahu, best area to trick or treat for kids

Hi I recenlty moved to Oahu from California and I'm trying to find a good place to take my four year old daughter to go trick or treating. Basically a family suburb type of environment which is safe and best sutied for kids to trick or treat at. We are currently at a VRBO in Waikiki but are moving to Makiki Nov 3. Mahalo for the help.

Not sure about Oahu but here on the North Shore of Kauai, Kilauea is the happening spot and packed with little rug rats begging for some poi.

Waikiki is a jolly great zoo at Halloween, but it is more of a grownup zoo. You could try the area just above Waikiki, Kapahulu. There are houses there which should have some trick or treating.

A lot of different groups put on kid's parties for Halloween. You may prefer going to a pumpkin patch party or whatever the local group calls their kid's Halloween party so you won't have to worry about traffic and kids at night.

When I lived in HNL and was working as a nanny, we took the little one to Kahala Mall for her first Halloween. It was fun...and the A/C was a bonus!

My daughter is four and we want the suburb house to house trick or treat experience. You know where people decorate their houses and have lighted pumpkins outside. What about Mililani, Ewa or Kapiolani??

I'm going to do a drive by recon mission in these three suburb enclaves and see if I see houses decorated or not because that should be a good indicator.
