I am not comparing this to Maryland, or Joisey, just Florida. People should take responsibility for their place, if not, they should share the scorn.
WOW. Who was your grammar teacher?

And, obviously you're a newcomer to Florida, or you wouldn't have posted this comment.

Downtown Ocala looks pretty nice, actually!

I think Waldo is the worst, followed by Lawtey. Those two places are really just pits, and SPEED TRAPS to boot! Ugly, ugly, ugly.

Thats a hard 1. Theres lots of ugly places...north dade is pretty bad, eastern broward, lots of diffrent places in orlando, and theres scattered places in tampa two. But again every single city has its ugly side.

I am surprised to see one of my picks already posted.

Generally I do not like to post negatives because most towns have both good and bad, but having been in these two areas I can say, they are not too darn nice.

Waldo and Chiefland get my vote together

Then again I have had the not so great experience of being in Memphis, Birmingham, St. Louis, Detroit, Baltimore, and Atlanta areas and they make most all bad cities on this list in Florida look really good !

hello everyone. i just wanted to say that i am from Ocala and i am just wondering where the heck this person drove through? ocala is not an"ugly" place. its actually very nice here and its growing alot! as for the downtown, it is very nice downtown and they are getting ready to redo the whole downtown area, there is also a huge outdoor mall comming here. its very pretty and yes there are some areas that are more poorer than others here but thats everywhere. but like one person said already we have enough people here so we dont need you anyways

Some of the ugliest towns ive ever seen in florida were along US17 coming from ft. myers international to orlando area. There was debris everywhere ranging from collapsed houses, abandoned houses, and overturned trains. It looked like when you get off the airport in the islands and drive to the resorts (bahamas, jamaica) Dont get me wrong some parts was beautiful, cows, horses, farms, and orange orchards is what i liked. Im not sure of the towns but we did stop in bartow (the only sign of life around) but im sure compared to some areas down in miami this place is heaven
