APollo Beach, Palmetto, Ruskin are all pretty bad looking - and a lot of Bradenton. At least Ruskin is trying to make improvements.

I thought Perry is awful! The road to Perry is single narrow county road and then it's all drought and just ugly little town. Some one said something about when the tide is in, it's very pretty so depending on the time of day you are there.

I agree !!!! Palmetto has my vote. I lived in manatee county for 14 years and passing through Palmetto was never pretty. It has great housing possibilities, run down trailer parks, run down slum looking streets or really expensive places on the water. Im guessing the waterfront housing is for all the migrant farmworkers. Bah they can have palmetto its ugly

I live in Ocala, and I was really surprised about it being nominated as the ugliest town in Florida! I moved here several years ago from Ft. Myers, and what attracted me to Ocala was it's natural beauty! Of course there are places in Ocala that are nicer than others, but overall it's a truly beautiful place to live (or visit). I am a native Floridian, and I've seen my share of ugly towns - I'm here to tell you, Ocala isn't one of them!
