Belleview, Fl is the quietest place with a pretty good High School program, especially for sports.

You guys are too funny, we moved to Ocala 3 years ago. My in-laws are here. The 1st couple months were a crazy NE<SE>SW<NW, maze. The way this city is laid out,...lol. it's taken me a year additionally, but I got it. Unfotunatley, theres Walmart and ..............Walmart. Thats where you'll find everyone. That explains the local business' closing, the economy has hit all parts of the country. Your not going to find a cheap, next-to-nothing town, Ocala is full of folks trying to survive. And the mood is reflective. If we had another chance, we would have looked up into the Gainseville area. BTW, the driving IS terrible, theres ambulances and fire trucks rippin all over the place.

When are people going to wake up and stop giving all our money to China!!!! I always go out of my way to find something in a mom and pop store even if it costs me alittle more. We don't see it in the short term but we are only hurting ourselves in the big picture. China is pissed at the US and demanding things from us because they are our number one creditor and they depend on us to buy their products, which employs millions of chinese that make inferior products we are stupid enough to buy. Instead of buying a million disposable peices of crap we dont need, support America and buy a few quality well made items that last. We used to be about quaility over quantity, whatthe hell happened to American pride?

I bought in Belleview, for the schools and to be in town. I rarely have to go far, UNLESS it is to WALMART! hahaha I shop local. Sweetbay is my Fave Grocery Store... the Butchers are great and the Deli is good (plus I can walk there). Lassies (mom & pop eatery) has AWSOME food and prices!

Plus, I got a mid-century modern home for a pretty good price!

Schools are a huge factor for us as well. I love that I walk my youngest to school each day... the middle and high schools are only 3 miles from the house as well.

I was simply pleased as punch to get out of Marion Oaks, and I wanted NO PART of Silver Spring Shores!

I am Bias.... I do like Belleview. It may not look like much, but it is home!

I was in Ocala earlier this week scoping out homes to buy. Traffic? To a Jersey girl, that's not traffic. Driving back to Tampa during rush hour to return the rental car? That made me feel right at home.
