I passed by on my way up to Ocala in May - though, I don't know much about it. To me it looked nice, lots of open green space ..it's more ruraly than some of the more developed places of Ocala. It seemed more laid back and I hear it's a bit cheaper, too.
Maybe, someone here can give us more details...

Moving to Belleview in two weeks, from TN!! Found a wonderful home in Summerfield (Belleview exit). So, Trish, I will update when we get there. Researched it over net and spent our vacation house hunting, not a lot to Belleview, seems to be more quaint than of course your Ocala area. As far as home prices, I was shocked, moving from tn to fl is EXTREMELY different in price, but my relocation with my job and considering I've wanted to move to FL for many years makes it all worth while!!!

Smile Living in Belleview

My husband and I moved to Belleview 7 months ago. We find it to be a place with the right mix of small town feel and close enough to just about anything else you could want by either heading a little bit North to Ocala or a little South towards Lady Lake and the Villages. We live in a small neighborhood and just outside of our immediate area there are miles of beautiful horse country. Lovely roads to ride the motorcycle on abound. The winters in Marion County are terrific too!

Even though a lot of people hate Belleview, I love it. It's small but not "three people and a post office" small, and it's close to a lot of things, unlike living out here in the middle of the ONF...

oh, please, it could be worse, at least you get to see some wildlife out here! No, I'm not talking about the neighbors!

I grew up in Belleview. Believe it or not it used to be a lot smaller than it is now! But its a very nice little town to live in and I always look forward to driving through when I go home to see my family.

Stop by the Chamber of Commerce on HWY 441 and pick up some info. There is an American Legion Post 284 a few blocks east of HWY 441 that has bingo twice a week.
