We are looking at an annual rental in Royal Highlands. The residents seem older than some other communities, which is OK since we are in that age group. Also looking at a place in Spruce Creek and a third in Top of the World.

Is the Top of the World mainly younger retirees and partiers?

Is Royal Highlands far from shopping?

Are any or all of these communities, or ones I haven't mentioned friendly and willing to take in newcomers into their groups, or do they tend to stick to their established groups? Are they friendly to new comers, inviting them to be part of the community? Are they more into dressy or casual clothing? Would a rural minded couple fit in?

We stayed three months a few years ago in the Villages and found them very friendly and welcoming so I am hoping for a smaller gate community with a similar attitude to new residents.

We are in the area so we can check the homes personally but it would take time to get to know the answers to the above questions.

Thank you
