Currently live in NC My daughter is going to school In Ocala. My wife is tired of living in NC We have a small farm I know there are alot of horse farms in the area. Are their many sm farm type places to rent? I am currently driving a truck locally and not looking to go over the road. Are their many driving job in this area or should We look more towards Tampa? Any input would be appreciated thanks in advance

Yes, There are some rental properties fitting your criteria just look north of the city of Ocala. I reckon they would have truck driving jobs in Ocala it seems like a hub.

I would get the job before moving. I think Ocala has a deal with the Ft Lauderdale and Tampa ports and this could create driving jobs for container trucks. Not sure if they would be one day or an overnight. Search on Ocala Tampa Port and you should find some info.

While we are on the subject, FedEx is building a major distribution center on the N end of Ocala near the I-75 interchange on Hwy 27. I don't think they have broken ground on the building, only the roads leading to the new facility, but I think they will in 2015.
