We're moving to the area and I'm wondering where I will be going for the usual; read large chain grocery, nail salon (peferably Vietnamese), Tractor Supply, bag your own groceries once a month. And No, I do NOT shop at China(Wal)mart and refuse to do so.

Any pointers for me? It could wind up NE Citrus county close to the Levy line, too.

Looking forward to living in a little more civilized area of 2800 residents twenty minutes from amenities as opposed to a town of 650 that's 45 minutes away from anything.

Thanks

Mel

Yes, I know where everything is, I'm really looking for tips like where the GOOD nail salon is, the BETTER Tractor Supply, etc.

When I Google shopping near Morriston nothing comes up in Inverness or Crystal River BTW, which is much farther than Ocala/Williston/Cheifland.

I DO thank you for a reply, dontask, I have read many of your posts while lurking this last year.
Looking for secluded 3 acres with pool BTW. There is a particular one in Morriston that is bank owned that I've had my eye on.........wink wink smile

thanks, Lazy, I was about to give up on the thread. I guess I'll just have to find out for myself.

You're really missing AK? How long have you been here?

Wow, sorry to hear that. Is it the heat really or the atmosphere/people/lifestyle?

All the above, but the heat drags me down for about 5 months out of the year! When it's cold, you put on more close to stay warm. When it's hot you can only take off so many before you get arrested

true, that's why we're buying a house with a pool. I'm just so tired of winter up here, we had maybe three weeks of hot and humid this summer. It's already in the high 30's overnights now. Not looking forward to five months of plowing and shoveling, hiding inside waiting for that first 50 degree day in April.....

hoew long did you live in AK?

48 years in Alaska..........Nov. thru April isn't bad here but I miss having snow in the winter months. Thanksgiving and Christmas just aren't the same without snow. It all depends on what a person is use to and what you grew up with. Some people love the heat and some don't.
A pool sure will make life more comfortable for you!
Did you already buy a place in Morriston?
