The best thing I can offer is don't move to Florida in this economic climate unless you have a job to come to. Not a job you might be able to get, but a job you actually have. People will give you all kinds of suggestions where you can move to, but the biggest issue right now is how you will support yourself once you get here. People are lining up by the hundreds when someone advertises ONE job opening. Work visas and stuff like that you need to check on and not take advise from this forum. Good luck!

Hi Scotty I moved to Ocala Florida from New York, I personally like the small town feel of the area and enjoy seeing the beautiful horse farms. I believe it has a lot to offer, is less crowded than other areas in Florida. The cost of homes in Ocala is reasonable and it is located just an hour and a half from Orlando and about an hour from either coast. If you have visited here, you no doubt know it is a pretty laid back area. It wouldn't be a bad idea to check out job opportunities, especially in this economy. I happen to be a realtor in Ocala. If I can help you in any way let me know. Martha

Since you live in Niagara Falls, check with people at the border crossing to see what is involved in a full time move.
