Default HRecommendations for hotels in Ocala?

For those of you familiar with the area, which hotels would you recommend for a three-night stay?

I'll be coming down some time next month to look at houses, and would appreciate recommendations. I don't want to spend a fortune, but I don't want a roach motel, either. Convenience to Rt. 75 and nearby restaurants are also important, and free high-speed internet is essential.

There is the Hilton on Hwy 200. They offer no $99 per night. And the 200 ist crowed of Restaurants.

$100/night is a bit more than I want to spend. Any other recommendations?

I always stay at the La Quinta. Its right at the 75 and 200 intersection. Usually aroung $50 a night w/ breakfast.

What do you like about the La Quinta? And how are the nearby restaurants?

La Quinta is centrally located with plenty of restaurants within a few miles. The rooms are clean and generally their rates are the best.

Clean rooms are a great recommendation and extremely important to me.

Have you used their high-speed Internet service?

And what are the offerings on their free breakfast? Those types of breakfasts are usually high carb foods -- good enough as long as I have protein with it to keep me going.

The Sleep in at I75 and rt 484 is new, clean, and reasonable. I paid around $60 a night with breakfast. There is a Sonny's BBQ next door and fast food closeby. Very clean. If you are looking for houses south of Ocala, like in Marion Oaks, you will be alot closer staying near rt 484.

This one never even showed up on my Google search.

Anything like Perkins, Denny's, Red Lobster or Olive Garden? Chain steakhouses?

Very clean.

That's very important. What about free highspeed internet? One of the hotels I looked at had T-Mobile, but I don't want to pay for access.

We're looking all over the area, pretty much. Our real estate agent suggested we stay at one of the hotels off Rt 75 and near her office (I can't blame her, since she's going to be ferrying me around for several days).
