I worked the lunch shift for Bob Bray when I was 18 years old. My favorite guest at the restaurant/bar was Joyce Ballantyne, the creator of the Coppertone Girl. Back in the day it was the who is who of Ocala ~

I remember the restaurant fondly. I remember that the horse sculpture was made of chrome car bumpers welded together. Don't know what happened to it, but I have always wondered.

Smile Peter dinkles

I remember it well. My dad was a chef there in the late 70s. I also worked there during high school as a busgirl n waitress and salad girl. Wish I had pics of the horse made of car bumpers it was cool. Had a great staff back then. Paula, Leah, Carol, Donna, Duncan, owner Mr. Miller. My dad was Bill the chef. Do you or any one remember him.

The restaurant was less than a mile East from the city square on the North side of Hwy 40 if I recall correctly.

Believe your right. I used to walk there after school from Pine Ave, st. Great place. It was,40 years ago I was last there I think. Big pink old house next to it was the 1899 steak house I think. The horse made of bumpers had something to do with Leveritt Miller who owned race horses in West Palm. I used to ride in the dumb waiter to the up stairs banquet room so I didn't have to run up all those stairs lol.
