Why are you wanting to move from the Naples area to the Ocala area? We are trying as well to decide if we stay in Florida where we can move that would not be terribly expensive, yet low crime, some elbow room. We have 4 children still at home, two middle school, two high school and next year my son will be wanting to enroll in a community college for nursing. We are currently living in the Orlando area and after two years we are done with the area. The cookie cutter homes on postage stamp yards, no room to have a hobby or shop out of the house. Crime and gangs, everyone in a hurry, people here just dont care for anyone. All my kids are in A schools, my daughter is big on Volleyball. We moved from Iowa two years ago, sold the farm and came here, big mistake. Everything here is double if not triple in price for cost of living. My older kids cant even get an interview at a fast food place, and Im a preschool teacher with two degrees and no work. We have thought about Cape Coral, or Ocala. We have to decide soon as our son will have to try and get into a college with a nursing program. Any suggestions would be helpful.

My husband is a builder and Real Estate Broker. I am a health insurance agent and commercial embroiderer (both part time)
We've been down here for about 20 yrs now and we're done. Want the cooler climate, yet still nice FL weather and can ride year round.
Any suggestions as to which area of Ocala we should be in. Seems like every time we go to look around up there, we end up looking in the NW area.
Any advice?
Canterbury Tail Farm. Its off 100the avenue. My daughter and son in law rented there for a year when they first moved down to Ocala.......its a 100 acre horse farm with several rental houses available and stables. They have a web site......google it.

You might want to check out Pine Ridge Estates. With the current market the way it is, there are people renting homes here. It is a Equestrian development with 29 miles of horse trails, comunity barn and several riding rings. It is located 20 miles or so, SW of Ocala. We have had good experiances with the schools. Their web site is Pine Ridge Property Owners Association If you click on "news and reviews" there are photos of the development.
