I was reading in wikipedia, that Ocala is known for the high number of lightning strikes.
Is this a pretty true estimation? How is the weather in the area,in general?
Thanks.

Yes, Ocala is well known for lightning strikes. We used live on a 20 acre parcel of land and annually would lose 1-2 trees each year but never once was I or any member of my family ever injured during those lightning strikes.

I'm glad you were safe from harm.Yes,storms look nice from the confines of your home.
I used work out ouside,career-wise,and at the sound of thunder,I sought shelter in my work van.
I'm sure most of Florida is under the threat of constant storms.
Thanks for answering my question.

A little lighting and what comes with it would be nice right now, it's the dry spells lately I don't care for. I should have used a dust mask just to mow the yard the other day......UGH.

Overall, Florida is one of the highest areas in the country for lightening strikes. So, duck and run!
