I know! What a sad story! I'm originally from Akron, but we are now in SLC, Utah. My friend has been keeping me current on the story. I can only hope & pray that she & the baby are okay.

Thank you for reading the thread. The more people that are exposed to this issue the better.
My friends and I are going to join the search again today.
They are expecting even more people today to show up. I cannot express the feelings of emotions surrounding all of this. But it also shows me the compassion that is obvious.
Everyone....please keep Jessie in your prayers that she is found safe....

**I had a power flicker and was not able to finish my last post**
I've had a few people contact me in regards to the following info so I thought I would also post it here...if anyone reading this would like to volunteer in the search on Saturday you must be 18 years old and have a driver's license for ID.
Not as many people showed up today as there were on Thursday.
Whatever the reason I hope there is a good turn-out on Saturday.
Even if you can only spare an hour of your time...please show up to help.
8:30 AM is the meeting time in Greentown.
Also, please use common sense when dressing for this. Some of the terrain is rugged with thick brush and tall grasses. Boots or tennis shoes are good foot gear. Flips Flops and sandals are probably not a good choice.
Bug spray is a good idea, sun protection....hats, sunglasses, long pants are probably better than shorts. Temps are not suppose to be too bad over the weekend.
Local businesses have donated food and water for everyone. Main thing is to stay hydrated during the peak daytime hours.
Again, please keep Jessie and her family in your prayers.

Its all over the news about Jessie Davis...
...found dead in Cuyahoga National Park...Cutts confessed, led them to the body, nowhere near volunteer searchers...
My sympathies to the family...
I must wonder...don't any of the multiple mothers with kids by Cutts, or Cutts himself, have ANY IDEA what the hell is birth control? Geeze! If no one had got pregnant, there'd be no child support issue, no garnishment of his wages for child support. No need for anger, confrontation or killing someone in a fit of rage over the issue (this is conjecture on my part).
Someone said Jessie never knew Cutts was married...gimme a break! How can you know a guy for 3+ years, sleep with him, be twice pregnant by him, and NOT know he's married? Are some women that STUPID, do they just close their eyes and smile approvingly at the lies, or is he that good a liar?
What a sorry tale for absolutely everyone....good grief.

This thread is not about birth control or assumptions. Please, until you get your facts straight don't post things that are not true and totally inappropriate.
Thank you

This is a very sad day on the north coast. Yes, a body was found earlier and it is of Jessie.
Murders happen on a daily basis in this world. But when it hits this close to home it takes on an entirely different tone.
I met some of the family members at the search and I cannot express how heavy my heart is at this time.
The family needs to be left alone and grieve the death of their daughter/sister/mother.
Rest in Peace, Jessie and Chloe.

I have the facts straight, as reported on multiple tv news channels. To recap for you:
- She was pregnant by this guy, for the second time.
- He's married, to someone else.
- She had his pay garnished for child support.
- Some other woman has a baby by this guy (not his wife).
- Some other woman's marriage is now in divorce proceedings thanks to this guy.
Conjecture on my part:
- He was ticked off by the pay garnishment, someone messed up his playboy life, trouble in the harem, he was furious.
Questions that will no doubt be asked, or at least I sure HOPE they get asked:
- Why didn't anyone use birth control? Multiple women, multiple babies, how many more are out there?
- How did Jessie support herself & a baby? Work? Welfare? Her/His parents? Friends? Spare change from Cutts? Crime?
- Was Jessie ignorant of birth control? If yes, was it because she was denied access to such information? If denied access, who denied it to her? Was it the usual suspects, i.e., male religious zealots who want to see women barefoot and pregnant - so they can control women?
Anger on my part:
- Cutts spread his seed all over Ohio for years. Did no one try to rein him in a bit, tone it down, wise him up? Did he not care about the consequences? Did he father kids intentionally for some reason?
- I supported the women's movement many years ago, in the early 1970's, when it was about equal rights, equal pay, right to choose, right to get and use birth control, right to control their own bodies and destiny, right to higher education, right to promotions, etc. Have we gone backwards? I'm tired of seeing women used as sex toys, tired of women allowing themselves to be used, tired of women playing dumb (but Mom, he said we'd get married when he's ready....sure...), tired of men who treat women as playthings, tired of picking up the tab in taxpayer supported programs for women/babies. In this day and age, I just can't understand why so many women make such foolish choices and/or let themselves be used so cheaply. The knowledge and advice are all over the place to help people avoid such nonsense. Have we become a nation of rubes? I don't care how many lovers people take, but for pete's sake, protect yourself and each other from unplanned and unwanted pregnancies. Raising children is very costly, and if you do end up a parent, support that child appropriately. If you've no plan or ability to support your offspring, DON'T have any. So yes, I guess what this all comes down to is birth control. With it, nothing would've happened, lovers could've still been blissfully in love, lying and playing until tired of each other. Without it, two dead, lives ruined, tremendous sorrow. What a mess. I'm angry as hell.

Enough, I think.
This thread started as an alert and appeal for help in finding a missing person. That person has been found under tragic circumstances.
If someone wishes to start a thread debating the general merits of the role of women in America, then they are free to do so in a more appropriate forum like Politics and Other Controversial Topics.
In the meantime, this thread will be locked until such time as the Ohio moderator(s) feel it needs to be reopened.
