I am considering purchasing a home in the Firestone farms subdivision of Columbiana. Does anyone have any info on this neighborhood and/or the Columbiana EVSD?? I am looking for a small "Stars Hollow" kind of town but with modern conveniences (good schools, close shopping). Any info would be appreciated!

The golf course was having some financial trouble about a year ago. I don't know if the subdivision was involved with that.

Columbiana schools are excellent. They are very comparable to South Range. Both are smaller schools that get great report cards from the State, and the kids don't grow up too fast like they do in Canfield, and Boardman.

Hmm, that is interesting. I hadn't even thought about the impact the golf course would have on the homes if it were to fail. Thank you for pointing that out, South Range. I was also considering Canfield, can you tell me what you mean by "growing up too fast"???

Growing up too fast means that they lose their innocence at a younger age. They worry about tanning, jewelry, dating, getting tattoos, and dressing like hoochies at a much younger age. The bigger schools like Canfield, and Boardman have that problem. The smaller schools like Columbiana, and South Range let them be kids longer.
