Default willard or napoleon

Does anyone have anything nice to say about either of these towns? My hubby is thinking about trying to do a transfer through the company he works for so that we may be closer to my parents. Additionally are there any decent towns that are halfway between Ada or the Mt Cory area and either Napoleon or Willard?

I grew up just outside of Napoleon and my wife is a Napoleon native. We liked the small town feel and friendliness. (Still have friends and relatives there) There are many home town type activities (school sports, local festivals, etc.) and the larger communities of Toledo and Fort Wayne are just about an hour away.

Now that being said, what was good for us may not be what you are looking for in a community. If you could give us an idea of what you are looking for in a decent community, we can help steer you to your options. Good luck in your search.

I grew up in Napoleon and return frequently. The downtown while not great is better than it has been in a long time. Its setting on the wide maumee river is majestic although the town has failed to showcase the river in any meaningful way. Overall napoleon is a nice place although it is not very progressive. I hope you won't be commuting to Ada - that is a long drive.

I pick up at Campbell's Soup in Napolean every once in awhile. Was there a couple of days ago, even. The area looks nice from my truck and the people I deal with at Campbell's are always really nice...

Well, we are looking for an affordable and decent place to live. A small town that is family friendly as we want to start a family in the next year or so . My hubby is also going to college and a decent college near would be a plus. I asked about ada/mt cory because my parents live there. I know it isn't close but it is way closer than we are to them now.

zapfu - okay, i thought maybe you would be working in ada or mt cory. definitely close enough for family. napoleon is a small, family-friendly town for sure. northwest state community college is quite close and defiance and bowling green are both workable commutes. also check out archbold, bryan, wauseon, and ottawa.
