Richland Mall, Mansfield, OH (Cincinnati, Ontario: neighborhood, live, restaurants)

Please I need feedback on Richland Mall located in Mansfield, OH
and near by neighborhood.

Is it a dead mall or does it have businesses?
Is it in a good neighborhood? safe? etc.

Any information appreciated.

I actually spent the day in Mansfield a couple years ago and went to Richland Mall while I was there. The neighborhood is fine; it's called Ontario and is actually very suburban in feel. There are many familiar/popular chain restaurants and stores nearby on the main thoroughfares (Lex-Springmill Rd. and West 4th St).

The Mall itself gave me a cool feeling of nostalgia; it was like stepping back in time to the malls of the '70s/80s I remember as a kid. Since Mansfield isn't really a major metro area, I guess developers just haven't seen the need for everything there to look like it was built in the last 5 years.

The overall experience of Mansfield, its suburban/commercial area and Richland Mall was quite nice overall. And even though I'd never been to this particular mall before, the feel of it brought back pleasant childhood memories.

I'm not sure if you're still wanting any views on the Richland mall in Mansfield, Ohio, but I frequently go there to do some shopping. Of course I've been to much larger malls, but the area as well as the mall itself is growing.

Many newer stores and chains have been built in the area...including Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, Best Buy, Dicks Sportin Goods, Panera Bread and Cold Stone Creamery (just opened less then a month ago) and other various stores, shops and restaurants. It's a busy town I think, with plenty to do there. I've lived in bigger towns (Cincinnati) and I find Mansfield to be the perfect size for things to do, places to shop and eat, and family atmosphere.

H i dont know if anybody remembers me but i used to work in a pizza place in the richland mall in the early 80`s..i moved back to new york those of you that knew me will remember my name..write back if you remember me...i had a good time the short time i was there in mansfield and i met a lot of great people..PRSMAN12059@AOL.COM
