Miami University is located in the beautiful town of Oxford, Ohio. Oxford is in Butler County. Transportation is probaly not too great because it is a smaller town, but I would imagine there is somewhat of transportation that the university offers its students.

Here is the city's website to give you an idea of what the town is about:

Miami University is probably one of the most picturesque small college towns in America, but because of its size and relatively remote location, there's not going to be public transportation into Cincinnati. Once you get there, however, I don't think you will have a problem getting around Oxford.

This is true. I was actually looking to transfer to Miami when I was in school and I went on a visit. It seemed like the campus encompassed the entire town almost and it is definitely a college town. So you can pretty much walk almost all of Oxford and the students pretty much have the right of way. It is remote though, so if you want to go to Cincinnati you'll need a car or a ride from a friend.

Miami University is often confused with the University of Miami (Fla.) But Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, was founded in 1809 and the U. of Miami in Florida was founded in 1926, so I like to call my alma mater, Miami University, the 'real' Miami. It is a highly rated undergraduate institution which the U.S. News and World Report recently rated 8th., tied with Notre Dame and Dartmouth, in the quality of undergraduate teaching. The beautiful georgian architecture of the Oxford campus makes Maimi one of the most beautiful college campuses in the U.S.
