Well, I found this tid bit of information interesting. Mandy Moore is coming to The Greene to perform. For those that don't know The Greene is a new mall in the form of a small American town from the developer that brought America "Easton" in Columbus. What I find interesting is this seems to contradict the naysayers who said The Greene would be an outright failure.
Now that The Greene is here and many other shopping centers are on the way, what do you think will happen to the malls and shopping centers of the Dayton area in the next ten to twenty years? Will all three or more of its malls survive? Will it turn into Toledo with only one healthy mall (sorry Levi Town Center)? Or will the growth in Warren and Greene Counties help maintain the level of stores and services these malls provide? I have my opinions. What about your's? |

The Dayton Mall area is dying.
You can see the next hot new retail area south of town will be the area between that little airport south of Metlife and Spingboro. That area is already undervelopement. Also south is that that huge development that Bear Creek is putting up at I-675 and Wilmington. Im curious to see how Town and Country will reposition itself. |
