Guilford Lake, Ohio??? (Youngstown, Westlake, Avon: houses, camping, living)

Does anyone know about this area? I am looking for a good spot to go boating here in NE Ohio. Lake Erie can get crowded at times where i live around the Westlake/Avon area. I want to go to a big lake about 2 hours away max. Does anyone know anything about Guilford Lake? Does anyone have any good ideas on good lakes that arent too crowded? Thanks for your replies.

Salt Fork, Westbranch, Berlin....these are all rather large decent boating lakes.

Guilford is a smaller lake with a 10 horse limit. Mostly just used for fishing and pontoon boats. The State campground is a small patch of open land with acouple of trees. (City living without the walls.)

Head North to Berlin Center on 224 You can Google Berlin Resevoir. Several thousand acres of water, real nice camping area. Gas up before you get there, and only one place to eat.

I was just up in Guilford Lake back in July and it was a very nice area. Now Lake Berlin was awesome. Very large lake and nice park areas, now the only problem was it could get crowded in some spots. But the houses on the lake were very nice. Nice spot to go boating just outside of the Youngstown metro area.
