First and only time I went to Danny Boy's Kellen Winslow was there! And it's a small place so I got to meet him. He said a lot of Browns frequent Danny Boy's before games to load up on carbs.

Ron's Pizza in Miamisburg (southern suburb of Dayton) is the shiznit. Ron's produces a Cassano/Marion's style thin crust pizza cut into little squares that is absolutely superb.
Also, Troni's Pizza in Kettering (Dorothy Lane just west of Wilmington, next to a Papa John's) serves an awesome traditional NY style pizza.

Keyhole Pizza in Newport Ohio is one of the best pizzas anywhere. Its a little old bar in a blink of the eye town but has people from all over stopping in to get one. Many people who go to the Country Concert In The Hills have been there and those are the ones who keep coming back. The owner has people from all over the country ship them pizza from time to time.

Thats a part of the reason I like the Valley. We have good LOCAL pizza joints, not to mention our own style of pizza, (Brier Hill), how many cities the size of Y-town, can say that.
I grew up in the Buffalo area, where we have a lot of good local pizza joints. I was shocked when I got to Kent and later when I lived in Wooster and found the majority of pizzerias were chain places!

One thing that I miss about Ohio is all the local pizza joints. It's just not the same here in the south. For me, the best will always be Longo's Pizza in Mentor Ohio. I also like Zeppe's in NE Ohio, a local chain. A good Cleveland Pizza is not a thin as NY, but obviously not as thick as Chicago - most seem to be about the same thickness as a Pizza Hut pan pizza.

Agreed CortlandGirl! Ytown has the best pizza. I went home to Ytown for a class reunion after being away for 37 years, stopped in Salvatore's in Austintown to grab some pizza. I was in heaven it was so good.
Not that it is the best in Ytown, mind you, but it sure beat all the places I've been in my travels.
