Getting Married in Lima (Shawnee: rental, hotel, neighborhood)

I am trying to help my friend plan a wedding in Lima and need some help. She wants a small wedding with just close friends and family and a simple reception. We have found a small church that will probably work, but want to explore some other options. Are there any unique or interesting places that could be rented for a small wedding? It will probably be a late fall or winter event, so outside places probably wouldn't work. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

my personal favorite place in town for a wedding is memorial hall. it is an old building with a marble staircase, big dance hall and stage. i have no idea what it rents for, but its a pretty place. if i think of anything else, i will post again. good luck!

Springbrook Golf Club - (419) 225-8037 has a very nice hall that can be rented cheap, and will keep you out of downtown Lima. The local K of C also offers hall rental in a good neighborhood.

I rented a room at the Old Barn Out Back. They catered the food also and make great cakes. We got married in the summer so we got married out back on the steps. But, we decorated a corner area inside in case of rain. It really looked beautiful and was fairly inexpensive. If you call them, talk to Michelle. She is great

I would call Shawnee Country Club...sorry I don't know the number. Memorial Hall is also nice and it is fairly close to the Wydham hotel downtown.
