I dont know how that many movies that have been shot in Ohio. I do know that "Welcome To Collinwood" was shot in Collinwood in Cleveland and the movie wasnt that bad and was pretty fun.
Also Spiderman 3 was partially shot in Cleveland and it was okay not as good as the other 2 I dont think.
Teachers was filmed at the old Central High School (now COSI) in Columbus, in the early '80s.
In the opening scene of 1997's Air Force One, Cleveland's University Circle appears as a central Asian capital city (presumably Almaty, Kazakhstan) and Severance Hall "stars" as the country's presidential palace
And of course, I'd be remiss without mentioning 1948's Green Grass of Wyoming, where the horse race was filmed at the county fairgrounds in my very own hometown, Lancaster
Brubaker (1980), starring Robert Redford, was filmed in New Lexington & The Junction City Prison Farm in Junction City.
wow i heard that brubaker was shot at mansfield reformatory..i just googled junction city. and it says it was torn down in2005 never to old to learn huh?

Reason: answered my own question!
I didn't realize so many movies had scenes filmed here in OH. As with some of the other posters, my favorite is Shawshank Redemption too. I think its' a good movie overall & a great story.
I enjoy Christmas Story. Love it when the big box arrives with "Fragile" or as the Dad exclaims, "Fra-gee-lay" thinking it's from Italy when it's just that leg lamp with the fringed shade.
Just moved to Columbus area this past Fall. I had no idea A Christmas Story was filmed in Cleveland, until I heard it on the local evening news as a "must" place to visit during the Holidays. Our family loves this movie, and watch it non-stop on TBS every Christmas. Took a day trip to Cleveland in December to get a look! Very cool!
