Kings Island
My family and I just went to Kings island yesterday and though it was fun, I have never encountered more rude/unhappy people in my life! Why is that??? I can't tell you how many times people walked right in front of me and never said "excuse me". I also heard very few "pleases" and "thank you"s. I even had a woman who walked up to me and said,"What time you got?" I replied kindly and she, instead of saying thank you, turns to the people she is with and walks off What the heck??? Is it like that everywhere? I never noticed that at Kentucky Kingdom or even Holiday World. What ever happened to manners?????

Hmm... I think that's just the way we are in Ohio. If someone says thanks to us, we'll just say "yep"... never "you're welcome" or anything like that.

Well, what I mean is that when people were served by the food service people, no one even bothered to say thank you or anything else for that matter. They also seemed more demanding. I am not even sure they were all from Ohio but I doubt I'll be back there any time soon.

Now that's an example of good manners! This coming from someone originally from NW Ohio but who now lives in Charleston, SC - consistently voted the Most Polite City In America.

I find that kinda odd. I live about 45 min north of King's Island and people here are perfectly polite. Maybe it's all the teens from Dayton and Cincinnati and the fact that many of the temp workers get minimum pay for what turns out to probably be a rather dull job? That or you happen to go during a rude peoples of the world convention?
Sorry it wasn't enjoyable.

Easy. I used to work there and can tell you from experience that if you go on a Saturday, the most crowded day of the week, you will run into a lot of rude people, go on a Tuesday and it is a completely different place.
