Just a few words to say Ohioan people are great. About 2 years ago I was offered a job in America ( I'm born and bred in England ) just outside North Canton with a worldwide company. We came over, myself, wife and 2 young kids to have a look around for 2 weeks at schools and houses etc, and we received the friendliest and warmest welcome, it was great. It transpired in the end that we stayed in England, but you people really did make us feel at home. Since then we have holidayed and travelled a little bit in America around the east coast and some parts of the mid west, but for me ohioans welcome is the warmest of all. We made good friends with some families and have been back to visit them and the welcome is always the same .

Cheers, God bless Britain and America.

You wre probably treated well because you had the "mistique" of being foreign about you. If you were from Ohio you may not have been treated as well. In any case, I'm glad you had a pleasant experience.

Hi mate, just like to say that America isnt hated by everyone, most european countries love America and Americans and are welcomed any time. I do read alot of American papers online and we can also get a couple of American news channels in England which I watch and I must say that your media seems to feed the American public alot of anti America feeling from the rest of the world, which I find hard to take as 90% of it isnt true. America gets a bad press but it seems to me your media is the worst for slating yourselves. America has alot to be proud of and should hold it's head up high. Bye for now, God bless Britain and America

Thank you so very kindly, English Rose!

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay here. Folks with a gracious attitude like yours are a treat to encounter, and I can see how people here likely responded in kind.

God bless you as well, and all our British cousins
