Trust me.. this isn't an Ohio issue. It is an Earth issue. You think those problems don't exist elsewhere? Everyone thin "this town sucks" "there isn't anything to do here" "prices are horrible here" "there are no jobs here", ect for the town they live in, but everyone thinks that about where they live. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.
I just moved from South Dakota.. trust me, ain't any better there in either the cities or the small towns where I came from both places. Hawaii, Texas.. isn't better there either. I lived there too.
When all you think is negative thoughts about a place, thing or person, you will never allow yourself to see the good and soon you miss out

I moved 17 years ago and have never looked back.I left the Canton/Alliance area. When I do go back for a VERY short apperance,I notice how gray and gloomy it always is.The roads are norrow, full of potholes. And its just down right cold and damp.Yes there are good points, fall when the leaves change colors, the first snow.A sunny warm spring morning. But I'm loving Florida. Here to stay.

Well the person coming down the street did have the right-of-way. Pretty stupid to keep backing out when a car is coming. Now if you were in Alaska you'd encounter tail-gaters up the wazoo and I'm talking even when there is snow and ice. They will also pull out of parking lots in front of you when roads are icy; they'll do 65-70 mph on the icy, dark highway in winters (then they wonder why they end up in the ditch). Was in N.Y. last week, geez, within a distance of 2 blocks a lady making a left goes to turn in front of us as we were going straight and then a young kid at a stop sign pulls out almost in front of us...geez. Bad drivers all over the place, it's the "me me" attitude.

I'm finally moving out of this state after 8 years of living here. This is the most backwards, hillbilly, polluted state that I've ever lived in. I feel like I being let out of prision!

JefffromOhio, if you're reading this, I hope that you have the right to remain silent and not respond to the lynch mob that is baiting you. There's no reason for this. This thread is "Why I'm leaving Ohio", not "If you're leaving Ohio, then you don't know what you're talking about."

I don't feel there is a lynch mob here because Jeff from Ohio posted what he disliked. I am always curious why people leave the state they live in and what lures them to where they are moving. I think most in the Forum feel the same way. Alaska is filled with people moving here who discover after their first winter they hate the place for one reason or another; can't find employment, etc. There is no perfect place.
