How is the area, generally, like 6 blocks on either side of this park?
Is it high-crime ridden? |

Yes, Five Oaks is a high-crime area. I had a co-worker who sold his house and got out of there about a year ago. His garage was broken into twice. His bikes and his kids' bikes were stolen. He had been there for over 20 years, but it got to be too much. The house next to him was boarded up and inhabited by vagrants.

Five Oaks is certainly on the downward slide into ghettohood.
As has been said there are board ups and vacancys happening. There was an attempt to make the place "defensible" via gates and fences, but that didnt work and the gates are all bent open now. |
