What's the weather like there?? Do you guys have tornadoes and when was the last time one hit over there if you do. We are considering making a move to a smaller area than Troy. My husband may be taking a job offer in Troy... At the moment we are waiting to hear back from HR to see what kind of offer they are making him for said job. Several people have suggested if he does take this job Tipp would be the area to move too.

Ldywlf, tornadoes DO strike SW Ohio. But not often enough to make it a real concern. Certainly not like Kansas or Oklahoma... I haven't seen anything in Troy except the shopping district immediately West of I-75. But I hear it's nice downtown. I HAVE seen Tipp City and I really like thier downtown area. As Whright Flyer mentioned in your other posts, Places like Casstown and other outlying towns in Miami Co. IMHO, are pretty nice, if you're looking for small town living. I've driven around the area and like what I see.

Hey Crew Chief.. thanks for the info. I'm in Southern Indiana right now.... and believe me I've seen more tornadoes than I care to shake a stick at in the nearly 5 yrs I've lived here. The one that made national news 3 yrs ago this coming Nov was the worst yet. My husbands mom and grandma lived in that trailer court that was destroyed. I've told my husband I'd almost want to move back to SC because hurricanes you can prepare for lol. I love small town living. It just seems less stressful than big city living. I lived in Tampa Fl for a long time and lived in the city. Hated every minute of it. Seemed like you never had time to just stop and breath. Small town life gives you that and then some. I've given my husband all the suggestions of area's now I guess I just wait to see what lies ahead :-)

Again thank you all for your help in this.

Ldywlf, it seems like OH floods a little less than IN does. At least that's the way it has been the last few years... Best of luck!
