I've noticed that in Ohio there are tons of cars with license plates that haven't been issued in quite a few years.

When most states issue a new license plate they require every car owner to get the new plate with a new numbers/ letters combo. Is this not the case in Ohio?? Just wondering

Oh by the way, you all are getting a new plate this year..

As long as your existing plates are serviceable, you are allowed to choose whether you want to replace the plates or not.

I've been using the same plates for probably 10 years, just renewed online and I just requested the sticker again.........it didn't say anything about getting a new plate.

I see a lot of old school Ohio plates as well. The ones with the Ohio county on them.

Probably because the newest plates look ridiculous. It was a crappy painting of a farm with Columbus' skyline in the background. Yawn.

The plates that you linked to seem decent. I might actually upgrade if I'm still in Ohio when they come out.

Nope. You can even transfer plates and registration between vehicles as long as the vehicle class matches. I've used the same plates on 3 different trucks over the past 12 years.

It and oplates.com is something we definitely do right. If you have BMV issues in this state, you're doing it wrong.
