Thanks.
Depends... What part of Ohio? There is a big difference between Columbus, Cleveland, Dayton, etc. and say Lima, Circleville, Portsmouth and Athens!

Where are you coming from if you want us to give you an idea of what to compare it to?

When you see someone listing Arizona as an ideal in diversity, you know they're full of crap. Ohio has its problems, but it's not full of reactionary right-wingers who want to revert the country back to the worst aspects of the 1950s. Outside of the Cincinnati metro, anyway

What you probably meant to say were several of Cincinnati's far-flung suburbs like Mason, right?

Basically, if you don't want to live in Upper Sandusky, and don't want to live in a small village, you will have to have at least a half an hour commute if you want to work in Upper Sandusky.

Regular Sandusky is nice. The job market is a little tough, though.

Regular Sandusky is at the other end of the 50-mile long Sandusky River from Upper Sandusky. It's not like they are right next to each other.

No matter what city you decide to make your home in, get out of it every now and then, come down to the river, drive through the hills this fall, visit Chillicothe and Adena the first capital. Serpent mound is neat to see, go fishing (get a license first) There are wonders dotted all over the place as well as in the cities. Paint creek, Rocky Fork, Pike Lake, Caesar's Creek. Lots of parks, restaurants, Flea markets, Amish stores and farms. Don't limit yourself.

That is true the world over. City people are both more formally educated as well as used to people different from themselves.

So I guess NEO is not some liberal Northeastern Shangri-La after all?
