The American Motorcyclist Association's motorcycle museum in Pickerington just outside Columbus is good if you are into motorcycles.

The museum fronts I-70 on the South side of the highway and it's just East of Exit 112A. That'd be East of downtown Columbus, second exit past the I-270 loop

We are in the season where many communities have a wide variety of activities to celebrate all the various holidays that are being observed. Take a little time to check them out, and pause to reflect on the meaning of whatever these celebrations mean to you.

Marietta has some nice museums with relics, clothing, buildings, back from around the civil war era. There is also an old steamboat you can tour. I think it is called the W P Snyder. That is if it's still there. Been a few years since I was there.
Amish country is a must see area. The Amish will sell fresh produce, eggs, pies and stuff they make.

We were in Hamilton last night and went to the "Holiday Lights on the Hill" at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park. $15 for the car with 4 adults in and it was worth every penny. Lots and Lots of lights. Really pretty.

Check out Northeast Ohio:

In Conneaut, Ohio, there is the Conneaut Railroad Museum on Depot Street.
Conneaut has a great Lake Erie beach located in Township Park. There is
a parking area on top of the bluff where you can see the lighthouse, watch great lake ships come in and watch the waves during storms.

During the summer, visit the White Turkey Drive-in on Route 20 on the east side of town. They have the best Root Beer floats in frosted glasses.

In North Kingsville, visit Covered Bridge Pizza. This pizza parlor is located
in 1/2 half of an original covered bridge that was moved to the location
on Rt 193 just south of Rt. 20. They have excellent pizza.

Ashtabula County (most northeast county) is home to 18 covered bridges.

These can be visited any time. I have many memories of crossing the Conneaut Middle Road covered bridge to visit my grandparents.

Check out Pymatuning Lake on the Ohio/Pennsylvania line where the
ducks walk on fish!

I live in Texas and always love going home to Conneaut, Ohio to see what
has changed.

Joli

When in Toledo, visit the Toledo Museum of Art. Rated among the top 10 in the country, and best of all, it's free.
