Default Random Question - County Health Departments

I am wanting to report a business to the county health department for possible issues with mold in the building; however, I want to remain anonymous in this process. The issue here is that employees and customers are potentially being exposed to nasty mold and smells that make you sick. Recently, the basement had a flooding issue, and the owner did not do a proper clean up and now has a nasty smell. The basement is used for business purposes with customers going back and forth from the main floor to the basement and back. The roof has had leaking issues in the past as well causing interior damage to inside ceiling and looks like mold is possibly present.

Has anyone ever had to report a business to their local county health department? Was the process easy and did the county follow through? I would be making the report with Trumbull County. The website does not offer much information, and with their limited hours, I am not able to to call them while at work.

Thanks.

It really depends on the County but you can absolutely call and report a business and remain anonymous.
The County will want your name but they won't tell the business "John Smith asked us to come inspect you..."
