Ya, it's the mad dash to keep developing between the two cities.

Dayton is loosing population in metro and in city limits while cincinnati city limits did loose population but only by a little bit in the past years hopefully cincy goes up in 2012. The metro is growing but i think it should be filling up the spaces in 1-275 not past 1-275.

There have been improvements but nothing to stem businesses and residents from leaving.
If estimates are to be believed, the population loss in Dayton stopped in the 2009-2010 period. So that's one thing going for it now.

The only problem now is that suburban development has really died off. If cities like Cincinnati really want to have their urban cores growing more, the focus has to be on development there instead of hoping for a combined metro through sprawl. It's basically... which do you hope for more? For the city to grow or for the metros to be combined because of strip mall development on I-75?

Oh, that. I'm not hoping for a combined MSA. My position is that there are plenty of reasons for there already to be one. But we have hashed this one out before until it's died a horrible death.
