Default The Haunted Tunnel, Ironton OH

I am curious about the Haunted Tunnel in Ironton OH. I was wondering if there is any truth to an accident that I heard about regarding the Hanuted Tunnel. A school bus crashed into another vehicle inside the Tunnel when it was open to drive in, I guess it was a road or something at one time and then after the accident it was closed but then reopened in 1980.

Thanks Ohiogirl81. I went to that website and it said that the story wasn't true. They made it up to go with the Haunted Tunnel. Thanks again.

Actually, it is true. Here's a news article on it.

The article you referenced above was a story in Floyd County. As you may know, Ironton, Ohio is is Lawrence County. Also, the tunnel they are referring to is not near the water as stated in the article.

Sorry to disappoint you.

When my uncle was young he had an accident in the tunnel. He had told my mother and later in life told myself that about half way through the tunnel satan had jumped on to the hood of his car scaring him causing the accident.
