Worry not if Ohio dies
There is a much better place Jesus has prepared for all of us. Do not beg or ask or take from the rich, unless they wish to give. Do not ask the government to help or provide answers. Don't fear the Pope and his minions. Don't fear death. Don't be ashamed of Jesus Christ. Do not look to this world for answers.
One thing men can never take from you is faith. Its riches are worthy of a coming Kingdom built by the Lord. Worth more than pearls and diamonds.
We go together. I go smiling and unphased. I'll gladly give up my Ohio for a righteous Kingdom. You can have your world government. You can have your false religions. Your pleasures. I don't want them anyway. The image they offer is just an image, not true happiness and security.
Ohio's hills and land, its heart is its PEOPLE. Its faith in them that made Ohio filled with love and hope. Each one of you are more important than its lands.
It's not going to get better Ohioans. It will only get worse. The only government worth having, is Jesus Christs government. And ONLY HE can bring that to Earth. Don't worry about all the wars and rumors of wars. This is the devils world. Men occupy both sides equally entangled and ensnared in their own depravity.
Look to the most high. He hears. Let the truth set you free.

Good post, Pines. I agree with you - well, I disagree with the "Pope and his minions comment", as I'm pursuing a conversion away from Protestantism - but what you said is one of the reasons why I'm wishing to pursue the monastic life.

If you're serious about it, check it out. It has quite a bit of Papacy junk. Ohio has never been Roman Catholic dominated, and hopefully never comes under Romes control. Ive said it a hundred times, Ohio will not be a new Rome. People will open their eyes eventually. It will all work out. Ohio has always been less mega churches until recently. It has always been people reading their Bibles and trying to understand for themselves. Without the promise of being saved by an organization. |

Okay, I'm going to pass on all that. Pines, it's sensationalist, conspiracy-theory nonsense, and the people that believe in that stuff probably believe the stuff in the DaVinci Code. Not to mention, they probably still believe the world's governments have been lying to us about the earth being round. (Truly, there are still people who believe the earth is flat!) Have nothing to do with it. Place your trust in Jesus alone, and don't pay attention to the world.

The_pines, this is the OHIO forum, it is NOT the "Religion and Philosophy" forum. I purposely avoid the "Religion and Philosophy" forum most of the time because I am not interested in hearing about the religious beliefs of others. The OHIO forum is for subjects that specifically relate to OHIO Thank you in advance for posting in the proper forum.
