East Palestine
I have found a few rental properties here for around $300 a month. Are there any apt. complexes in the vicinity? The crime rate looks low here, and the location is perfect for me.
I am also considering Columbiana, Negley, East Liverpool, the tip of WV, and the Beaver County area. Does anyone know any sites besides apartments.com, rent.com, & The Lisbon Journal for cheap rentals? If I pick up a newspaper for Columbiana County, which would you suggest? AK

The two Columbiana papers are The Salem Morning Journal, and Salem News.
The Morning Journal News I don't know of any apartment buildings in East Palestine. It's not a bad little town. You could do worse. I would stay away from East Liverpool though. You could also check out the apartments in Chippewa. They are less than 10 miles East of East Palestine on Route 51. Try the Beaver County Times. Beaver County Times Allegheny Times - News - Top Stories All websites are from memory. You may have to tweak them.

Just kind of a run down hole in the wall with nothing there. Reading the police reports in the paper, it seems that they have more break ins and drug related crimes that the other other places don't have.

I noticed a few odd things there. It seemed like another Windham or Wellsville, Oh in a sense. Not terrible, but not exactly right either. I did get a chuckle out of the "Big Dick's Auto" sign there.

Be careful
East Punkinstine is cool, but there are alot of drugs and dirt balls. Herion is really bad with the younger rich kids. But right outside of Palestine is really really cool, say Petersburg, Unity, Negley, etc.

I really like the thought of staying on the Ohio side and commuting to PA daily. I feel Ohio has more to offer, plus it doesn't have all of those auto checks to deal with. If anyone else has any other Columbiana classifieds please post them up.
