Never seen so many ticks in my life specifically the area of southern Mahoning county. Every time I go outside and do anything in the yard I seem to have them on me. The ones I mostly am seeing are the Blacklegged Deer Tick which is a carrier of lyme disease. I just killed another one which was crawling on myself thus causing me to start this thread. I would like to remind people to check themselves periodically to see if they have any embedded on their bodies. The longer they are on you the more susceptible you are to disease. Just before starting this thread I googled "ticks in Ohio 2013 and it does seem like their is an explosion of them in the Eastern part of the state. I have included several links. Take care.......
