Warren, thanks, I thought so. I really know nothing of those apartments.
Garfield Manor is located on Perkinswood NE which is near East Market Street. We live a block from it and the area is very nice, quiet and safe. There is the Trumbull Golf Course about 1/2 down the road on East Market.

When did The Trumbull Country Club change? The web site still says private and you have to apply, and pay big money, for membership.

He was implying that a person could play that course and it was convenient to Garfield Manor or it wouldn't have been mentioned.

I think his point was that he thinks it's a nice area because it's located 1/2 mile down the road from the Country Club...........

I did not mistype the name. I was using the golf course as a point of reference and the area is NICE and we've had a wonderful time since we moved here. In fact, if we had friends or relatives wanting to move to an apartment, we would recommend the Garfield Manor. The area is very safe. In fact, one of the things that you can tell if an area is stable is if there are police officers living there and we have three living within three blocks of us. Two State Police and one from the Sheriff's Dept.
You might be right regarding River Run because I am not familiar with that area, but I do know about the East Market Street area and it is nice and safe. Also in our area is Country Club Manor which is right on East Market Street right near the golf course in the North-Mar area, but it is a few hundred dollars more a month than Garfield Manor. We thought of both rental while we were making the transition to our home, but decided to just move into our home before everything was done, and it was well worth it.

Oh ok. I just thought you mistyped golf course vs. country club, no biggie. I got that you were saying the area was nice. I'm sure the Garfield Manor Apartments aren't bad, you might have a couple of bad eggs, but you'll have that at any complex. That area of town is still very nice. I wouldn't hesitate to live in most neighborhoods between E. Market and Atlantic, well, unless I was getting too close to Laird Ave. I wouldn't live that far down Market.............

Garfield Manor was just sold. That could be good or bad.
