I am 23 looking for a 1 bedroom apartment located within a neighborhood (not a burb) where hanging out front of your place on a porch isn't an invitation to get shot, I can walk to some bars or interesting places and maybe have a chance of meeting people under 40 without kids...I know this may be a tall order but I have to live here for a year for my job, I work at least 65 hours a week and I dont want to hate living in Toledo when I have 5 minutes to my self. Any suggestions would be vastly appreciated.

You don't say what your price range is but try Jamestown apartments and townhouses. They are located in West Toledo (centrally located and lots to do, close to everything) in a neighborhood called Old Orchard which is a desirable place to live, sidewalks, trees, nice people. They go from 1 bedrooms to townhomes and have recently been renovated...very nice.

Lol, good luck as far as Toledo is concerned.
I would recommend Holland/Maumee area for a good apartment-- thats if you want time to yourself without b/s and crime, etc. There are some good apartments off of Rt 20 and I-75 in Perrysburg-- huge complex, no crime, lots of younger people. Cant remember the name off the top of my head. |
