No. I'm not thinking of checking in.

In NY we had Creedmoor State Hospital and Pilgrim Psychiatric Center. Upstate there was a very old one in Vestal NY. I'm sure there are others. In PA there was one in Clarks Summit.

While I know in the 60s and 70s, the trend was for deinstitutionalization, in most states.

Are any still functional in NE OH?

Massillon State Hospital, which opened in 1898. It is now called Heartland Behavioral Healthcare.

It is referenced in the H.P. Lovecraft story The Shadow over Innsmouth.
