A few years ago my father passed away. He had bought a one bedroom house and put a 6 room addition on it. The house is in Wilmington, Ohio. I was curious about any websites/contacts that would tell me if the house was in his name, and who to contact about property inheritance or legal rights and deeds to the house. Any ideas?

The county auditors almost always have links which let you see who's name a property is under. Follow the links to do a real estate property search.

Weren't you notified when he passed? Seems like a long time to wait to check on this. In any case, check with the probate court of where he living when he passed. If he had a will, it is public record and might give you some details.

You can also use search engines like USA People search or VoomPeople to see what comes up. The idea to check with the auditor/recorder is a good one.
