Warren, Ohio info?
Hello, all. I did a search but didn't see much information from people who live in or are familiar with Warren, Ohio near the PA border. It seems to have a fairly high crime index pre the city data page, but I'd love to hear any thoughts from Warrenites (Warrenians?)
It seems like a decent sized town. I have children so I am concerned about crime and schools. We also like lots of outdoors stuff. Any forests or mountains nearby?
I am considering putting in for a job there but wanted to see what you good folks thought about the place.
Thanks!

I Would Imagine That As In Most Cities The Crime Is Mostly In The Urban Area.
Warren Has Many Nice Suburbs ,paintballer Could More Than Likely Have The Info You Need.
I Woked There 30 Yrs Ago And Drove Through It 5 Years Ago And Was Impressed With The Up Grades Of The City Area

Like pasharon said it is building a lot of new schools in the area. The suburbs of Niles, Hubbard, and Mcdonald are all very nice. Warren has a good school system too. Warren JFK is an awesome school. Warren has a nice downtown area. There really isnt much to worry about in Warren. Its much better than it's sister city Youngstown.

I live and work in Warren. the school districts are pretty well ranked. The Champion school district about 10 miles out of warren is ranked one of the highest in the state. as for crime it depends on where you reside in warren ( the southwest side is pretty rough) townships like Howland, Girard, newton Falls, Champiom all have good schools and atmoshperes for family. the downsizing of the Delphi corproration has hit the area somewhat but its a strong community and I love it. Hope this helps.
