I wouldnt take the trip from Columbus to Cincinnati. First off the traffic. You have to deal with traffic from three major metros, and second the construction. They are doing a lot of constrution on the freeway systems from Columbus to Cincinnati. I would check into living in the suburbs of either city and just making the shorter commute to which ever city you live closer to. Its quite a drive from Cincy to Columbus.

About the only way I make that trek everyday would be if I was a private pilot; I lived close to my airport of origin; and worked close to my airport of destination. And someone would need to pay me a LOT of $$ !! LOL

I absolutely love Columbus (moved back here after moving all over the country with a former occupation). I like living here about as much as anyone could. But unless you live in Grove City with the destination being Lebanon or north... you are talking a serious commute. Even IF those conditions were the case.... it still would be a serious commute by Midwest standards.

I make the trip from north Columbus to Harrison quite often (family). I made the mistake of hitting rush on 275 once... emphasis on "once". I am sure there are probably ways around the traffic in Cinci... much the same as there are ways around the 270 rush in Columbus... but even in the best of circumstances, it would not be good.

And paintballer is absolutely right... the construction on 71S is pretty rough to navigate. And that construction is only gonna get worse over the next 5-10 yrs, IMHO.

Now if someone can ever figure out a way to make the pipe-dream of a high-speed train between Cincy and Cleveland via Columbus work ..........
