Default Seeking country house rent/lease option NE Ohio

Professional couple, no children, 1 show dog always 'in bed' (crated) when not directly with us, a few cats, looking for country property to rent or rent w/option in NE Ohio. Will not be able to buy for a few years to make sure we want to stay in this area & put down roots, plus we still have to sell property in NY. Set up for horses a plus, but not necessary at this time.

Prefer less than 1 hour commute to Mayfield Heights. Geauga County would be ideal, but open to other areas.

Links to good resources for finding desired home would be most welcome!

TYVM

Perhaps Northern Portage county too. Aurora, Mantua, Garretsville.

Default Absolutely! & beyond too

If we could find a good country home, we'd commute from most of Summit County too -- from Mapquest, I'd say the rough boundaries would be Geneva, Middlefield, Orwell, Parkman, Ravenna (Bloody Corners? Wonder how that name came about!), Portage Lakes-Green.

The problem is finding the local papers of those towns & everything in between them & Mayfield Heights

Any info, suggestions, links would be most welcome!

Thanks all in advance!

You could probably even go into parts of Trumbull County as well. Cheaper there too.

I would also check out Geauga County near Cleveland. Some very nice towns around the area. I really like the town of Chardon, Ohio.
