I would look into Williams county. On that note, The surrounding areas of Michigan or Indiana would suit your needs as well.

IN that area, on top of the hospitals aforementioned by a poster, there is also a hospital in Hillsdale MI. It would be within your driving limitations.

Crawford Wyandot or Seneca counties would be great! You will get what you are looking for and the price is right! Northwest ohio is a good place in general with many hospitals small and large. A new large hospital is being built in Tiffin right now so rural seneca county would be good. The more east you go of the city better chance of not becoming developed

Default rural land

I just noticed your message was dated 1-13 2008. I misread it as 2009. Any way, if by chance you have not found what you are looking for, my husband I are selling our rural estate in between Findlay & Toledo Ohio. 15 miles west of Bowling Green. It is on 12 acres next to a large creek, with a large pond detached garage and barn all insulated, dry walled ,etc. The garage has a full bathroom in it, also. We also own the 80 acres west and would be willing to give you ATV rights and hunting rights. Lot's of white tail deer (trophy), turkeys, etc. East of us is a woods which will never be developed as it is too wet for residential or farming, although great for hunting. Across from us are fields. The nearest house yiu can see is at least 1/2 mile away. We love the freedom we have always had here, but we would like to downsize and go to warmer climate. Oh, plenty of hospitals in the area, as well. You could take your pick, I'm sure. Just off the top of my head there are at least 12 within 50 miles of here.

Don't wanna see any other houses from my porch. Oh and not get raped on price. Is Ohio right for me?

PS: Would love for the area to be ATV friendly as well thanks

Ever the contrarian, I say, look into the Clinton County (Wilmington city) area. The local economy is being hammered by the pullout of DHL and so there is lots of property on the market. Most of Clinton County is flat-as-a-board hog raising and grain country, but there are picturesque nooks and crannies like the area around Cowan State Park, if you look closely.

The advantage of being around Wilmington is that you are accessible to three major cities (Dayton/Cinci/Columbus), but it still feels remote.

Adams Co and other southeastern Ohio counties are VERY isolated, but do have small county hospitals. Very cheap land.

I would say Eastern Greene or Miami County, because Dayton is about to experience one of the largest hospital expansion sprees EVER!!!!! They also have good shopping, schools, and interstate access.

Ashville, OH, in *****way Co. is a great rural place. It is only 25min from Columbus which has Ohio State Univ Medical Center, Mt Carmel West, Grant and Riverside hospitals. My daughter has an atv and there is plenty of places to ride.
