Thought I'd post this link that gives the ballot language for state issues 1, 2 & 3, so people can read them before stepping into their local polling station. Keep in mind it's not the full amendment language, only what you'll see on the ballot. For example, for Issue 3 you wont see that a person will need to get a $50 license to grow marijuana at home, meaning their name will be in a database the Feds could seize, and that could also be used to prevent citizens from buying guns and ammo. We have another thread to discuss that specifically, just making a point that the full amendment will not be visible on the ballot.

This is Lucas County's ballot/language, which includes of course both state and local issues.

Issue 1 sounds like a good idea, but I doubt it would be non-partisan. It'll be made up of 7 people from the two ruling parties, majority rules, meaning it'll still be partisan. In a perfect world we'd have fair redistricting, but with this amendment not sure that's what we'd get. Good idea, maybe not the right plan.

Just wanted to share to give people an idea of what they'll see on the ballot next Tuesday.

Well, district making can't be any more partisan than it is now, with seat holders drawing up their own districts to remain in power. Issue 1 is definitely a step in the right direction.

I agree with you it can't get any worse. Just not sure if this will do anything to make it better, but I'm sure will somehow cost the taxpayers millions of dollars.
