Really nice people. Low cost to live here. Cost of housing all depends on where you live. Nice country homes to city homes that you can reach out and touch the next home (not my favorite but we have them.)
I love it here.

Ur move 2 Marion
I was born and raised outsice of Marion and after being gone for 36 yrs, I have come home and bought a nice place about 10 miles out in the country. I don't like living in the city itself but Marion has a lot to offer--good schools, entertainment (theater, roller skating, bowling, golf courses, churches, health spas, etc.) and plenty of shopping areas and some of the best medical hospitals and clinics. Most of the people are down to earth "good ole country" people and will welcome you. Good luck on your move.

I have lived in Marion for 3 years. I lived in the city and I loved it. Nice place, lots to do and nice people. Although, there are certain parts of the city to stay away from but you have that in just about every city now don't you. Low cost living, careful when buying houses though I speak first hand when i say be careful you don't get ripped off. I know that they have all the above that you posted except not sure on the golf course though. The only thing bad that I have to say is that the snow and ice have been worse here than in any other place that I have ever lived.

We have lived in Marion for 1 year, previously from Columbus and before that New York. Marion has some very nice houses at reasonable prices with low taxes compared to Columbus. We live in the SE part of the city in a home built in 1920 (we just love the house). Compared to a big city, it can get very boring but at least I don't have to worry about finding Federal agents in full body armour with automatic weapons walking thru my back yard to catch drug dealer at the end of the street, nor do you feel uncomfortable and unsafe going outside at night. The area we had lived in in Columbus with Westerville OH schools had been a good one that gradually after 25 years turned bad. Hence our move. I will say that when my husband worked in Marion for six years a long time ago I wouldn't move up here, but now we are enjoying Marion. Good luck with you move and let me point you to a good real estate agent should you need one.
