Default Ohio Immigration

For those of you who have no idea about the immigration in the U.S., many states are starting to see a big influx of immigrants. And these states are not along the Mexican border. States like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin are new hotspots for immigrants. Pennsylvania and Ohio are seeing some of the fastest percentage rates of immigrants moving into these states. If the percentages keep up, these two states will see some of the biggest "raw" number growths. Both PA and Ohio are not only seeing a big hispanic growth rate, but an asian population growth rate as well. Especially around cities like Philadelphia, Columbus, Cincinnati, Harriburg, and Cleveland. Last year Ohio saw about 200,000 immigrants mainly from SE Asia come to the state, and Pennsylvania experiencing some 300,000 immigrants. This is good news for both states, as they are seeing faster growth rates in population, and jobs that most Americans dont want to do, they are doing.

This is not good news, IMHO. Ohio is too crowded as it is. Out of the 50 states, Ohio ranks 7th in population yet it only ranks 35th in land size. Anybody who has spent enough time driving through Ohio on its very congested interstate highways can easily tell how densely populated it is.

^ ODOT is taking huge steps to increase and make Ohio's interstate system even better. You can see this between Cincinnati and Dayton, and Springfield and Columbus, as well as Cleveland to Columbus, and Cleveland to Akron/Canton. This will take many years and its upwards to over a few billion. Ohio already has one of the best interstate systems in the country. I just think they need to leave SE Ohio alone and leave the beauty. Traffic congestion is getting worse with sprawl and growth of the suburbs. Ohio has some of the worse sprawl in the nation. Ohio is becoming like Florida and North Carolina where you are seeing suburbs sprawl out to where cities are almost connected. For instance look at Cleveland and Akron/Canton. All pretty much one metro along I-77. And Cincinnati and Dayton are beggining to grow into one another. Its not so much immigration, its the sprawl. Im glad to see "LEGAL" immigrants come to Ohio as well as other states. If you go to California or Florida it is just terrible.

^Please tell me how this is a lie? This information came from a news article written by the Census Bureau. I mean do you consider it a lie because you dont agree with immigration? Very interesting......

The lie? Start with a simple fact. An immigrant comes here legally. Those who are mentioned in this article are NOT coming here legally. Thus, calling them immigrants is a lie. The term is "illegal alien". Not here legally, don't pay taxes, drain the system. Simple.... So yes, it is a huge lie.

from what i have seen the illegals come , work any job for less money ie: landscaping , painting drywalling carpentry, then after they are established they raise their prices to just below the legal workers, most live in cheap motels 10 to a room and send their money back to Mexico for their families to spend and keep the corrupt govt economy going.
if they would blend in to the country and learn the language it wouldn't be so unbearable, i hate walking into home depot or Lowe's and having to read spanish....we are in America, but don't worry Hillary and gwb both will allow them to take back the south west, thats the big plan....heh i may be wrong

Illegals have no right to be here. Theyre illegal, enough said. Theyre here to exploit, not embrace this country. Give em the boot NOW. Stand up people!!! Theyre eating your tax dollars, getting FREE medicare, and also getting catered too. Enough is enough. What irks me even more is how they fly their flags in this country. Viva Mexico? If theyre so proud, stay in Mexico, fly your flag down there, stay and do something to help your country rather than abandon it and proclaim how great it is. Ive had enough.

There's 2 lies in the above sentence.

The first is that a high growth rate is "good" and the second that "immigrants" take jobs Americans won't do.

Immigration in general, and illegal immigration in particular, has badly damaged our country. I live in California, and believe me when I tell you it now looks more like a Mexican slum than the country I grew up in.

I also disagree with illegal immigration and agree with legal immigration. However, seriously, you sound extremely ignorant. You are obviously implying that Latinos should not flaunt their flags. This is the silliest thing I have ever heard. I am a Latina, born in NYC. My parents were born in NYC, and my grandparents migrated to NYC like more than 70 years ago, as children.
Yes, migrated, because Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the U.S. Since 1917, all Puerto Ricans were granted U.S. citizenship. I consider myself a proud Nuyorican, and I have the Puerto Rican and American flag in my home and the stickers on my car.

As Latinos we are very proud of where we come from. It is not that many believe that their countries are better, they are just proud of where they come from.
I assume you are a Native-American, because if you are not, you also come from some where else, too bad you do not feel proud of where you come from. It is unfortunate that you are unable to appreciate the advantages of living in a diverse country. Diversity and multiculturalism have benefited this country extremely.
