Hi All,
As I leave arizona, I will leave behind thousands of trees that I have grown. I am a propigator nurseryman, which means that I have a good knowledge of starting trees and various plants from seed or cutting, and some of my plants are along the freeway system here in the Phoenix area. Also I think that in the newer green areas of Youngstown there should be a new park with a teaching area for students to learn basic growing and plant maintenance. Further along a new park exclusively filled with fruit reees, peach, apple, cherry, etc. etc. Possibly a munincipal greenhouse where the young could see the results of their labor, and have the same added to the new green belts. I do know the plants of the area as I grew up in northern Indiana, and started my growing there. Just some rambling thoughts about things I might get involved with later on. Hello,
Guys & girls, I should of done my research, but I didn't. I ended up buying a house on the city's southside and guess what......I love it! I'm behind the old wilson high that was recently torn down on a little street called Marmion. when I told my co-workers, everyone told me that I'm crazy and it's horrible around that area, but I lived here for about 6months and no problems at all. My street is very quite and many of the home owners are very nice. I do have to admit that their are some rough spots around my house but hopful the city can continue to clean up the area. Just wanted to let everyone know, don't buy into some of the local's grabage. Yes, there are some major problems about the this, but for Youngstown to make a come back we need more people to move into the city and invest in it. By the way, my house payment is less then my car payment! I love it! |
