Ohio was well-represented in the top 20 in RealtyTrac's ranking of 2007 metropolitan foreclosure rates - but Cincinnati had the lowest rate of the state's major cities.

This makes sense. Cincinnati's housing market has been pretty stable over the past five or so years. The big price increases -- which weren't that big -- were in 2003, and then prices settled down the next year (just in time for me to put my house on the market, LOL). And Cincinnati has a lot of affordable housing in solid neighborhoods.

Also, Cincinnati's economy is diverse. That helps -- not as many people are losing their jobs, and when they do, it's easier to find another one.
